Schedules
Run a task on a schedule, once or on a repeating cron.
A scheduled run sends Rolit a task automatically, so a project can produce work without you opening the chat. Each schedule belongs to one project and runs the goal you write each time it fires.
Open Schedule to see schedules across projects, or open a project's Schedule page to see just that project's.
Create a schedule
- Open the project's Schedule page and select New.
- Enter a Name, for example
Weekly content ideas. - In Goal / query, describe what Rolit should do each time.
- Choose One-time or Repeating (cron).
- Choose Auto-accept actions if you want it to run without clarification or approval prompts. This includes email, Calendar, Docs, and Sheets writes. It is on by default, so turn it off if you want to review actions.
- Select Create schedule.
Repeating
Pick a preset or enter a custom cron expression.
| Preset | Cron |
|---|---|
| Every hour | 0 * * * * |
| Every day at 9am | 0 9 * * * |
| Every Monday 9am | 0 9 * * 1 |
| Every weekday 9am | 0 9 * * 1-5 |
The Schedule overview also offers a frequency picker: Hourly, Daily, Weekly, or Monthly.
One-time
Enter a date (YYYY-MM-DD) and a time (HH:MM, default 09:00). Rolit reads these in your local time.
Manage a schedule
Each schedule shows its status, when it runs next, and when it last ran with a total run count. A schedule's status is one of Scheduled, Paused, Running, Completed, Cancelled, or Failed. If a run fails, the error is shown on the card.
| Action | Effect |
|---|---|
| Pause / Resume | Stops or restarts future runs. |
| Edit Timing | Changes when it runs. |
| Edit Query | Changes the goal. |
| Cancel schedule | Ends the schedule. |
Schedules that use connected tools, such as Gmail or Calendar, need those apps connected.
