Browser automation

Let agents browse the web in a sandbox, and sign in to sites so they can browse as you, read-only.

Rolit agents can use a browser during a run: open pages, click, and read content. This page covers turning the tools on and connecting a signed-in session for sites that need a login.

Both settings are under Profile → Connect Apps.

Turn on browser automation

Switch on Browser automation tools to let agents navigate, click, and read pages in a sandboxed browser during runs. The sandbox is separate from your own browser and device.

Only a workspace owner or admin can change this switch. For everyone else it is read-only.

While a run is browsing, the chat can show the live browser view.

Connect a browser login

Some sites only show content to signed-in users. Connected browser logins lets Rolit reuse a read-only signed-in session so agents can browse those sites during runs.

You sign in directly with the site, never with Rolit. Rolit doesn't see, store, or log your password or cookies.

Connect a provider

  1. Under Connected browser logins, find the provider and select Connect.
  2. Read the consent message and select Continue.
  3. A sign-in page opens in your browser. Sign in with the provider. The page is hosted separately from Rolit.
  4. Return to Rolit. It shows Waiting for you to finish signing in and updates automatically.

If you close the window or take too long, Rolit shows what went wrong, such as "You cancelled before finishing sign-in" or "The sign-in link expired before it was finished". Select Try again to start over.
