Connected apps

Connect Google Workspace and external MCP servers so Rolit can act on your behalf.

Open Profile → Connect Apps to give Rolit access to other services. There are three parts:

  1. Google Workspace
  2. External MCP servers
  3. Browser automation and browser logins

Google Workspace

Connect a Google account to let Rolit use Gmail, Calendar, and Drive. Select Connect Google Workspace and approve the permissions on Google's page. Once connected, Rolit can:

  • Send email with Gmail.
  • View and manage Calendar events.
  • Search, read, and create Drive files.

If the card says Reconnect required, select Reconnect Google Workspace to grant newly required Calendar and Drive permissions. Select Disconnect Google Workspace to remove access.

Rolit asks you to confirm each Gmail send, Calendar change, or Drive change in chat unless you turn on Auto-accept or the run is a schedule with auto-accept.

External MCP servers

MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers give Rolit extra tools, such as access to a CRM or a database. Rolit supports two kinds:

  • Managed servers from Rolit's catalog. Select one to connect it.
  • Custom servers that you add yourself by URL.

Add a custom server

  1. Select + Add custom.
  2. Enter a Display name and the server URL, for example https://example.com/mcp.
  3. Select Add server.

Rolit validates the server and fetches its tools. Depending on your workspace policy, a custom server may wait for a workspace owner or admin to Approve or reject it before it can be used.

Authorize a server

A server's status tells you what to do next:

StatusMeaning
Draft / ValidatingRolit is checking the server.
Awaiting approvalA workspace owner or admin must approve it.
Needs authorizationFinish sign-in. Servers that support OAuth open a sign-in page. Others ask for an API key through Edit.
Fetching toolsRolit is discovering the server's tools.
Available / ConnectedReady to use.
PausedTurned off. Reconnect to resume.
Reconnect requiredAuthorization expired. Reconnect to continue.
ErrorValidation failed. Retry or edit the URL or key.
Rejected / RevokedNo longer usable.

To update a server's URL or rotate its API key, open its menu and choose Edit. Leave the key field blank to keep the existing key. You can also Pause a server or revoke it from the same menu.

Choose which tools Rolit can use

Expand a connected server to see its tools, for example 3/8 tools. Switch tools on or off individually. Each tool carries a risk label:

LabelMeaning
READReads data.
MUTATEChanges data.
EXPORTMoves data out.
SENDSends something externally.
BILLABLEMay cost money.

Turning a tool on allows it for your whole workspace and sets it to run without a confirmation prompt.

Only a workspace owner or admin can approve servers and change browser automation settings.
