Rolit CLI

CLI quickstart

Sign in, choose a project, and run your first task with the Rolit CLI.

rolit login

Rolit asks for your email, then sends a 6-digit code to it. Enter the code to finish. To skip the email prompt:

rolit login --email user@example.com

Your session is stored encrypted on your device, outside any workspace. Tokens are never accepted as command-line arguments. See Authentication for how sign-in works across Rolit.

If a command exits with code 10, you need to sign in again.

Choose a project

Each run belongs to a project.

rolit project list
rolit project select project_123

You can also pass --project <id> to a single command, or set ROLIT_PROJECT.

Run a task

Open a terminal in the folder you want Rolit to work in, then:

rolit run "Inspect this repository and fix the failing tests"

rolit run streams the agent's work and applies the approval mode (default cautious: it asks before edits and commands).

For an interactive session:

rolit chat

For a larger, multi-step build, add --todo to keep a session checklist:

rolit chat --todo "Create a production-ready service in this repository"

Check your setup

rolit doctor
rolit status

Sign out

rolit logout

Add --all to sign out on all your devices.

rolit login, run, and chat use the production Rolit server by default. --server and --dev are for Rolit development only.
